Easy access to highway, somewhat of an upgraded older hotel but nicely done, clean, hotel was nicer and cleaner than expected based on price we paid. Wasn't sure what we would get and was pleasantly surprised.
Front desk had a somewhat unprofessional feel. Both times at the front desk, it appeared that friends or known guests of the hotel manager were loud and a little obnoxious while I was trying to check in. Not real bad, but I was tired of the drive and wanted to check in. Other than that, all was well.
We hate the small pillows
There wasn't really anything we didn't like we really enjoyed our visit and would probably stay here again...
There wasn't anything we didnt like was a little disappointed the sauna was out of order but I know sometimes things happen...
There were 2 of us in the room and there was 1 cup for coffee and 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf coffee. We were disappointed about the coffee situation as we both drink reg coffee and only 1 cup.
No hot water, halls were about 90 degrees and very short staffed due to the "Saffold" family reunion of about 80 freaking people who basically took over the pool, restaurant and anything else they wanted. I was very disappointed.
The hotel was very accessible to downtown and a mall was right down the interstate. My wife and I were there for the "Brothers of the Sun" tour and our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable.
The only thing I found a little questionable was the cleanliness of our bathroom. My wife noticed a suspect hair on the floor in the corner, one disinfecting wipe and we were alright. Would have asked for another room, but our view was great and it was extremely busy that weekend.
Location was very important and it was perfect location for our stay in Nashville. Loved the beds, pillows - very comfortable.
The only downside was the morning breakfast - they did not have enough servers to accommodate the guests so there was a long wait for breakfast.
The location was good. The noise level was fine since we were on the 13th floor.
The hot water p;ump on "that side" of the hotel was broken, so it would take us 10 minutes or more to begin to get warm water. Once in the middle of the shower, the water turned cold. Breakfast was identically the same each of the three morning we were there and the price was overrated, I feel.
Location to downton
All lounges were closed, resturant was out of certain menu items, really nothing to do for 65 yoa couple at hotel.
The room had a certain cover up scent to it that seemed to try to hide a smoke smell. The Internet was horrible!!
It was right off the Highway so it was very easy to get to anywhere from Opryland to the Airport to Downtown. The staff was very friendly and although we didn't get a chance to use the pool it looked gorgeous and even had a seperate pool for young children. As a young couple we enjoyed going to the bar that was available on the 1st floor which had live music and very good food with great service. I would definitely go back to this Holiday Inn.
Everything was great even the breakfast buffet.
Did not get the king size bed we requested.
We had drainage problems in the tub. Called to have it fixed. When we returned at the end of the day it was fixed. Staff were friendly.
They charged the wrong credit card after we asked them to charge the first credit card number we had made the reservation with and the front desk still charged the wrong card. Very irritated.
This was one of the few hotels I found in the area that had a restaurant (room service) and a really good breakfast ( omelets made to order while you watch) at a reasonable price. I know smoking is not a popular thing but if I'm going to have to stay in my room and work, I like not having to get dressed, going downstairs, going outside, and fighting the weather for a break.
The free wi-fi internet connection was great and I was able to have several windows open at the same time (which I have to be able to do to work)......BUT......there was no desk in the room and the table was round so it was really awkward to try to keep paperwork and the computer within reach. Also...crummy coffee cups (clear plastic).
